UHV Capabilities Overview
Microwave Techniques produces an array of UHV compatible waveguide devices. These custom-tailored products provide high electrical performance in the UHV environment down to 1 x 10-11 Torr. All UHV devices are constructed utilizing advanced and specialty vacuum-rated materials. This includes materials such as: ceramaics (quartz, sapphire, alumina), non-magnetic stainless steel (304, 316L, 316LN), and OFHC copper. Additionally, we have specialized manufacturing processes for UHV devices. This includes advanced welding and vacuum brazing techniques. In addition, all ultra-high vacuum devices are cleaned, assembled, tested, and stored in our ISO Class 5 clean room facility.
