Waveguide Phase Shifters

Microwave Techniques waveguide phase shifters for high-power RF and microwave applications are available in various design configurations. Our standard product line includes manual, motorized, and 3-probe designs. In addition, we have advanced phase shifter designs for ultra-high power levels, critical phase applications, as well as UHV environments. Microwave Techniques common product sizes range from WR90 to WR2300.

About Waveguide Phase Shifters

What is a waveguide phase shifter?
A waveguide phase shifter is a two-port passive RF component. These devices provide a fixed or variable change in the phase of the traveling wave. They can also alter the phase of an output signal in response to an external signal.

Design Types and Product Capabilities

Microwave Techniques manufactures several types of standard waveguide phase shifters, along with specialty design capabilities for customer specific requirements. For super high power applications, we utilize a short-slot hybrid design.

WG-PS

For long term reliability, we utilize non-contacting, double bucket shorting assemblies mounted on Teflon runners. While most of these units exhibit an insertion loss characteristic of less than 0.05 dB, this assures maximum power transfer for both motorized and manual designs. In addition, we can incorporate water cooling into these designs.
